Are You On the Truth Track? 5 Questions to Return to Your Authentic Life
Have you ever followed all the “right” steps—only to find yourself anxious, disconnected, or wondering, “Why doesn’t this feel like me?”
This week we’re diving into what it means to live authentically—and how easily we can fall out of alignment without even realizing it.
Living a life that isn’t yours doesn’t always come with flashing lights or loud alarms. Sometimes, it feels like a slow drift… like a train that’s quietly switched tracks without you noticing. Everything looks fine from the outside. But inside, there’s frustration, anxiety, or even a sense of numbness.
That’s where I found myself years ago—people-pleasing, self-abandoning, chasing success on someone else’s terms. I had checked all the boxes. But I wasn’t free. I wasn’t even present.
Sound familiar?
Here's the truth: if you’re even starting to ask, “Is this really me?” — you’ve already taken the first step toward re-alignment.
To take it even further, below are five gentle but powerful questions to help you realign your life to the “Truth Track”—intentionally and authentically:
1. Where Am I Headed?
Are you moving through life based on your vision… or following a pre-laid path?
A vision leaves room for flow, for unfolding. A path often comes with pressure and rigidity. If you can see every next step ahead with robotic clarity, pause. You may be chasing someone else’s idea of success.
2. Who Wants This?
Feel deeply: Is your current lifestyle aligned with what you want—or what your family, peers, or society expect from you?
When we act from our authentic self, there's peace. When we don’t, there's often anger, rumination, or emotional friction.
3. Why Have I Stayed On These Tracks?
Many of us stay in inauthentic patterns unconsciously out of fear, habit, or the belief that we must prove our worth.
When we live from outdated programming, life feels like starting and stalling over and over. When we live from our truth, there's a natural and manageable pace—even in the discomfort of change.
4. Am I Ready to Shift?
You don’t need to feel fully confident. You just need intention. The desire to come back to yourself is enough to start moving.
With time and consistently honoring yourself, confidence will grow.
5. How Can I Support Myself As I Shift?
Shifting doesn’t mean sprinting. It might mean rest. It might mean resetting habits to support your truth instead of your past.
Be gentle. Be intentional. Flip the switch—slowly, consciously—and feel into what you need, every step of the way.
To provide you with further support, remember this:
✨ Joseph Campbell said, “If the path before you is clear, you’re probably on someone else’s.”
So if the road looks too perfect, don’t be afraid to pause and reassess. Your authenticity is the compass. Your intuition, the guide.
Sending you peace on your journey,
